This Medicine Shield is a Hoop of Grapevine., wrapped on two sides with Deer skin ties. The body, or skin is Deer. The Four Winds Medicine Wheel is a pendant meant to worn. Hand made from sheet stock Copper, here in my shop, it has a hammered finish and don's a Unakite cabochon at the center, set in Sterling Silver. The Parrot feathers represent the winged ones. The once broken Fox skull is now married with Sterling Sliver that has first been heated to the point of 'flowing'. And now together with the skull, it is the costume... the transformation of the Shaman on his journey. The Turquois stone is the balance between Earth and Sky- Body and Spirit.

Bird Medicine Rattle/Functional Sculpture - sold.
Creation. The bottom side shows the four races, the elements of Air, Fire, Water and Earth at one end. It has a an Earth, the Moon and the Stars at the opposite end. The outer edges of the shell have been dotted in color and lightning bolts - depicting the Thunder Beings. Construction of this Rattle is of very high quality, with a cut and molded skin of Deer at each opening, secured to the shell and the handle. The handle runs completely through the body of the Turtle, which is secured with pegs decorated with a variety of beads, both antique glass and hand made, along with brass. The percussion is very defined. The contents are 33 Quartz Crystal points and 11 black Basalt stones, bringing the count to 44 total.
